What is Nitro Cold Brew Coffee?

Not to be confused with Iced Coffee, Cold Brew Coffee is an age old process whereby filter coffee is steeped in cold water for over 24 hours and creates a thick liquid extract. This process reduces the amount of acidity and bitter taste commonly found in hot coffee and when infused with Nitrogen through our new system, it creates an amazing drink.

Where Did It Come From?

It is widely published that Nitro Cold Brew Coffee originated in Austin Texas and was first served in 2015 by Cuvee Coffee. It has been reported that in 2014 it was served by the Brewers Association in Colorado and as far back as 2011 at The Queens Kickshaw in New York. One thing we can be sure of, 2018 has seen a rise in the UK popularity of Nitro Cold Brew Coffee and it's fast becoming an essential part of coffee menus throughout the country.

In 2016 Starbucks introduced Nitro Cold Brew Coffee all across America. In 2017 they bought Nitro Cold Brew Coffee to the UK in a number of their stores. A recent Starbucks publication stated 35% of coffee served are now cold coffee drinks with predictions of over 50% by 2020. How Is It Made?

We've taken cold brew a stage further by adding Nitrogen with our new and innovative Nitro Cold Brew Coffee System, giving coffee a whole new opportunity to tantalise the pallet with its really smooth, creamy, fresh and energising flavour!

Our Cold Brew Coffee Dispenser infuses the coffee with nitrogen from a cylinder or directly from the air through a small micro air filter and then with its unique and innovative design creates an amazing smooth coffee with a rich creamy head just waiting to be enjoyed.

How Is It Served?

The coffee is chilled in the Nitro Cold Brew system and is poured straight from the Tap, there's no need for ice! It pours like a Guinness and the whole cascading effect as it enters the drink is mesmerising, as you see the bubbles disperse and rise up the glass it's pure genius to watch!

It has a really smooth, silky, clean and fresh feel in the mouth leaving no acidic taste. When mixed with syrups, milk or alcohol, it creates an amazing array of drinks you will absolutely want to keep coming back for!
